Enable On-site Checkout for Multiple Payment Modes

One of the most important areas to optimize for all eCommerce sites is the checkout experience. With the PayPal Commerce Pro extension, you can configure your checkout to show any combination of the following buttons:

• PayPal wallet
• Debit or credit card

Duration periods

An All Access Pass will expire at the time interval you choose. When a customer’s All Access Pass expires, they won’t be able to download any more products unless they renew it by re-purchasing. This opens the door to recurring income as customers aren’t just paying for your files – but also the convenience of using your website. They can use your website like a utility “cloud” drive which saves them hard drive space and goes with them everywhere. This ease-of-use makes paying a recurring fee worthwhile. If you want to automatically accept recurring payments from your All Access customer (as opposed to making them manually repurchase each period), check out the EDD Recurring extension. It perfectly pairs with All Access.

Limit All Access to specific products

By default, All Access gives access to all products in the store. However, you can limit an All Access Pass so that it gives the customer access to just a specific category of products, or even specific product variations.

Sell Membership Levels

This also makes it possible to sell membership “levels”. For example, you could create 3 All Access Products called “Gold”, “Silver”, and “Bronze”. Then you could set the “Bronze” product to only give access to “small” product variations, “Silver” to give access to “medium” product variations, and “Gold” to give access to everything. Customers can then choose the membership level that works best for them and their budget.

Download limits

If you’d like to limit the number of downloads the customer can use per day, simply enter the number when creating the All Access Pass product. When the customer uses up their downloads per day, they will no longer be able to download anything else that day. You can limit their downloads on daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly periods.

Restricted embedded content

If you want restrict the viewable content of any page, post, or product so that only your valid members can view the content (like embedded videos or text), All Access does that as well. It includes easy-to-use shortcodes which you can wrap around embedded content so that only valid members can view it.

The content restriction shortcode built-into All Access goes much further than simply restricting content to your valid members. It also improves the user experience by smartly outputting a login form alongside the purchase button (only when needed – if the user is logged out). Your existing members won’t have to go hunting for login forms and non-members can easily purchase access. Once they have purchased and logged in, the restricted content is unlocked so they can view it.

Ways to make use of Additional Shortcodes

There are many ways you can make use of these shortcodes. You can automatically customize the content of a page for a specific user in a specific moment. This can hugely increase the chances they will convert to a customer. Here are a few examples:

• If a visitor has a certain item in their cart, you can suggest related items to add before checkout.
• If a visitor happens to click on their cart page, and they have not added any products, instead of just telling them ‘your cart is empty’ (which may be obvious to them) you can load products on the page. Then they can shop right from that page without having to search elsewhere or wait for another page to load.
• If a visitor is logged in to your site, but has never purchased a product, they are demonstrating heightened intent to purchase. They are likely almost ready to purchase, they may just need a nudge. You can nudge them with a discount that is not available to the general public.

Customizations like these can be highly effective. And they are automated, once you set them up, you don’t have to think about them again.

The customer page in the dashboard is extended to include a new view where a custom, unique message can be crafted and delivered to the customer.

Messages sent to customers and vendors from the dashboard can also include attachments so you can send customers files quickly and conveniently. EDD Message also integrates with our Amazon S3 extension so files can be selected from your S3 buckets and used as attachments.

Log all unique messages sent to customers

EDD Message keeps a record of all the messages that have been sent for you to reference in the future. Messages sent to a specific customer are visible on the Message view for that customer and a table of all logged messages is included in Reports – > Logs.

For Frontend Submissions users, this extension is even more useful. EDD Message has been designed to work perfectly with Frontend Submissions so marketplace store owners can not only communicate better with vendors, but vendors can also be given the ability to message their own customers.

Along with being costly to deal with, fraud can also be detrimental to store operations as merchant processors will often disable payment accounts if the fraud rate is too high. This can happen without warning and cause severe complications. Actively protecting against fraudulent transactions on your eCommerce site is one of the most important things you as a store owner can do.

Fraud Monitor is an extension that adds robust monitoring to your Easy Digital Downloads store and works for you to automatically detect possibly fraudulent purchases, allowing you to rest easy and focus on growing your business instead of fighting fraud.

Each time a purchase is made, Fraud Monitor runs the information through a series of checks and will automatically flag the purchase as needing further review if it detects anything suspicious.

When a purchase is flagged as possibly fraudulent, an email can be delivered automatically to the site admin and/or to the customer in order to request additional information necessary for verifying the purchase. Once the purchase is reviewed by a site manager, the receipt and download links can be released to the customer. If the purchase is confirmed to be fraudulent, Fraud Monitor allows you to easily reverse the payment, preventing costly chargebacks or fraud penalties in the future.

Fraud Monitor includes the ability to moderate payments when:

• An email addresses matches common fraud patterns.
• An IP address has already been flagged as possible fraud.
• A purchase comes from a country store owners identify as having high fraud rates.

Commissions is the perfect extension for sites that wish to create a marketplace system that allows users to receive earnings on a commission basis.

When commissions are recorded, they will be listed on the new Commissions page added under the main Downloads menu.

This extension includes the ability to generate a CSV file of all unpaid commissions, or unpaid commissions over a specific date range, that you can then upload to PayPal’s mass payment system, or use to process the commission payouts however you wish.

Yes it does! However, customers with German PayPal accounts are not permitted to purchase subscriptions with PayPal.
