At this time we’re closing in our 2nd beta release which is focusing in on the order refund process. We’ve pre-released several updates to our add-ons in the past few weeks getting ready for the 3.0 release, so that there is no ‘transition’ period where our extensions are not compatible.

To be sure to keep up to date with our development of 3.0 you can follow this blog or even subscribe to the email list so that when we publish updates about Development of EDD, you get notified quickly.

and? what about the update?? we’re facing several problems with the database heavy loading, plus the BD has a lot of old registers in there….

there’s a solution? there’s a new version on the fly?

we’re finalizing what all those little changes will be. We wanted to get this initial preview out so people can start playing around with it in their local development environments. We’ll be re-working the way gateways interact with this new refund interface next

As much as I'd love a new update too, I just wanted to stop by to offer some support & encouragement for all the work you're doing on 3DD. I can't even begin to imagine the breadth and depth of work that has to go into completely restructuring such complex (and vital) software. The longer it takes, the more confidence I have in it. Keep trucking along, team! And thank you for everything you do .

In reply to Charlie. Charlie, We definitely have not done a good enough job and sharing the progress of 3.0 and we would like to apologize for that. I did share a few more details in my year-in-review post and we will be sharing a lot more very soon. Right now, we're finishing up a number of UI and UX components and shoring up some data migration issues that were discovered recently. If all goes well, we'll have an initial beta before the end of Q1. We will also be sharing some previews of the UI and refund processing work we've been doing soon here.

Hey Scott,

We should have an update in a week or so. Sorry for the delays and lack of publishing. Between a few high profile non-3.0 projects like SCA that took up months of our time last year, we’ve not made many breaking or significant changes in the concepts on 3.0. I recent came back from a paternity leave, after which we’re setup some milestones and plans for 3.0 moving forward.

We’ve isolated some specific work around the view order details screen and database layers for the coming weeks.
