Hello Tinaa. I know this can be confusing at first, but the affordability and full control pay off in the long term (I think)!

To get started with EDD you first need either WordPress.org website. You can use a WordPress.com site, but it requires a Business or eCommerce plan.

You DO NOT need WooCommerce, that is a separate eCommerce store plugin. It’s designed for physical goods. Unless you are selling physical products like clothing, coffee or merchandise, we suggest EDD. We build a more streamlined solution for digital products.

After setting up EDD you need a payment gateway/processor to accept credit cards, Stripe is the easiest to use.
